This is Patricia (left) and Christina (right) in our before shot. We will take a new one in August and be much hotter! Stay tuned.
I just wanted to update what has been going on. I have started Weight Watchers again. I am doing the on line thing. I joined several months ago but am just now getting it together. I eventually want to go back to the meetings. I also begin a new job on April 6th. I am so relieved. I have put in so many applications since October it is unreal. I will be working a physcian’s office. I did not want to work in another doctors office. But that is the only interview I got. I will take the job!! I previously worked in a doctors office in Va. then for a medical health insurance company here in Charlotte for 6 years. I quit when I got remarried. I couldn’t take the the hour drive at 4:30 am. I am excited to get back in the workforce. This weekend I am going to plan my lunches so I will not be tempeted to eat out. Also on my hour lunch break I hope I can walk some. I have begun exercising 30 minutes a day. Christina, I love Wii !! My neice has one and invited us down to play. I can’t believe you did the hula hoop for 10 minutes!! You go girl. I am hoping I can get us one soon. At least by winter. Even my husband liked the system.
I see we have a new blogger. Welcome Holly!! And any others I missed.
Have a good weekend!! Treasa
I think a couple of you have Wii Fit. This is my score from the hola hoop for 10 min. Yes, I kept the hola hoops moving for 10 min. I haven’t lost any weight but I am getting tighter. So who is up for the challange?
PS is there spell check on this?
Ok sometimes even if the scale doesnt’ say you’ve lost you can tell in small ways. your pants arn’t quite as tight or maybe you can touch your toes now. For me my belly apron ( that skin that hangs down) is smaller now. So I know what I’m doing is having a good affect. Now on to something funny. If you have the WII I have a game for you to play. Strip Bowling. It is really fun. But of course besure the kids arn’t going to come out of their room or down the stairs. We played it the other night and of course led to other fun. Yea WII!
So I went to the doctor last night I’ve had a sore throat for several days. just a virous, well anyway I stepped on the scale there and it said I weighed 222lbs that was around 8:00pm. That morning I weighted myself at 217lbs. I talked to my sister this morning and she said that was right. It’s normal to weigh more at night than you did in the morning. I’m glad of that because this morning it was again 217 so I have lost 12lbs this month. Yea me. Patricia
I feel off the wagon for a week or so. Today i got back on it. I had to go to the doctor for my yearly check up. He told me that I needed to lose weight. Which of course I already know. He suggested that I see a doctor and get medication to help. I really don’t want to take medication. I want to do it on my own. So I started a food journal. I want to keep track of my calories and see it on paper. I also pray daily for help from God. My SIL suggested that I buy Hershey miniatures and freeze them, that way I have to let them thaw out before I can eat them. That way I just can’t pig out. Chocolate is my down fall. I am going to buy some chocolate pudding cups. There are only 100 calories in those. I know I can’t deny myself the junk completely or I will never stick with it. I crave it too much.
i walked on the treadmill for 41 minutes, burned 250 calories, and walked 1.84 miles.
Sorry I forgot to sign this post.
How is everyone doing this week? I didn’t feel like exercising today but I did anyway. Who in their right mine enjoys it? I would much rather be sewing. I walked for 32 minutes and went 1.35 miles.
I posted yesterday on my site about exercising. Christina read my post and invited me to blog here about getting healthy.
My name is Holly. Some of you may have read my blog. I am a 33 year old stay at home mom of three boys. I have struggled with being over weight my whole life. The over eating started early. Around 5 or 6. Early childhood trauma. I was never taught good eating habits. My brother has ADHD so as kids my parents very rarely let us have sugar. So every chance I got to have sweets I took advantage of it.
Every year I tell myself this will be the year that I get serious about losing the weight. Hopefully this year I will be right. I have bugging my hubby to bring the treadmill back in the house. He finally got tired of hearing it and brought it in. Yipee. Yesterday I bit the bullet and walked. I walked 1.16 miles in 28 minutes. Today I walked 1.3 miles in 31 minutes. My goal is 30 minutes at least 5 days a week. I have told myself that I am doing this to get healthy for myself and my kids.
I look forward to hearing from all of you and see your progress.
Thanks for listening.
So my question is what kind of scale do you like best? for 20 years I’ve used the same one. the kind that spins when you step on the scale. each time you use it you have to make sure it’s on the 0 then step on. when you step off again it’s not set on the 0. So I’ve never really been sure what my weight was. At the doctors it is alway more than my home scale. So I bought a new scale. Digital. on the old scale I was down to 207 lbs. on the new one I was at 216 lbs. Now I have to decide which one I believe. I’m sure the digital will win out it’s newer and probely right. this just mean I actully weighed more at the beginning. more like 232 lbs. but still thats just about 10 lbs in one month. Yea me. I think, oh I am so confused.
